THE SDG'S

An important topic that we want to discuss with you are the Sustainable Development Goals; a crucial framework for our future. It is important that we, as young people, know what they mean and what they want us to do. It’s easy to think that we can shift responsibility to governments, but we also have a chance to make a difference. Even SDG 13: Climate Action directly calls to us for action, to be involved and to take control. After all, we are inheriting the future that we, ourselves, shape today. Whether it is through sustainable practices or fighting for social justice, we can all be involved. You will be able to read about each goal in more detail soon, but let’s have a quick look at their backstory, shall we?

Well this is what makes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) so important; they are for everyone! It’s all about global action, for positive change for every single one of us. But ‘who’ started them? The SDGs came from the United Nations, an international organisation that since they began in 1945, have evolved as the needs of the world have changed.
